About Me

I am a 41 year old professional who decided to leave the rat-race and set up my own business four and a half years ago.

Since then I have now returned to Part Time employment with the N.H.S as a Senior Support Admimistrator. Although I do not now offer a complete service as a virtual assistant I previously was able to offer, I am able to type a small amount of private medical reports at a rate of £15 per hour.

My previous roles in the N.H.S. have included Unit Administrator, Admin Manager and Personnel Admin Manager. I have gained excellent administrative and interpersonal skills and I work with efficiency, competency and confidentiality. I have a friendly disposition.

I have managed teams of up to 12 members of staff and was one of the youngest to gain the Institute of Health Services Management Managing Health Services Certificate, at the age of 24.  I was responsible for the compilation, editing and production of a Hospital Newsletter and Vacancies Bulletin and particularly enjoy working with graphics (approximately 25,000 clip arts available). I have also attained the City & Guilds 7307 Adult Teacher Training Certificate and am qualified to teach Typing, Shorthand and Supervisory Management.

I am very proud of the skills I have acquired, including an average typing speed of 85wpm and an audio speed of approximately 75wpm.  I take great pride in my work and I have a proven track record of turning around poor performances in Departments and eliminating backlogs of work (please browse my references)

I will undertake audio typing of Medical and Medico-Legal Reports, as I have a comprehensive working office including an Olympus Pearlcorder MINI cassette transcriber, fax and scanner.  I can take instructions via email, post, fax, disc, audio or the good old telephone.  Mini cassette tapes can be forwarded via Recorded Delivery if required.  Documents can be e-mailed to you in Microsoft Word format.

I am happy to work outside of normal working hours to meet your deadlines and I am happy to take work from any location.
